School Business Manager
Salary Scale: PO4 spine point 35 – 38 (£47,532 - £50,574 FTE)
Term time only 38 weeks per year, 36 hours per week

Alexandra is a vibrant two-form entry Primary School with a Nursery situated in Wood Green, North London. We are proud to be culturally diverse and have a strong inclusive ethos. In September 2025 we will be opening a Resourced Provision for ten Primary pupils with SEMHD.We are looking for an innovative, highly organised and proactive School Business Manager to join our ambitious Leadership Team and make a positive difference to the lives of our school community.
We Are Looking For:
- A motivated, self-starting individual with strong financial and organisational skills
- Previous experience in school business management, financial management or similar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and strategically within a busy school environment

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including:
- Driving improvement of the school and working with the Headteacher to meet our educational aims
- Oversee the school’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Strategic leadership in financial growth and management to ensure long-term sustainability
- Overseeing site and premises services
- Liaising directly with catering providers and staff
- Building effective relationships with business partnerships and the local community
- Generating income through funding sources including applications for grants
- Management of the office and premises team to support a culture of excellence and efficiency
- Involvement in community events and contributing to the wider life of the school
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and school policies
