Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a fantastic secondary school in Dorchester to seek a dedicated & enthusiastic Teaching Assistant,Working as a Teaching Assistant offers a perfect platform to launch a career in education. Your main responsibilities will be to support student’s learning and development.
Position: Teaching Assistant
Responsibilities: 1:1 and small group work
Location: DorchesterCommitment: Full time role (Monday-Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
The Successful Candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, confident, and approachable
- Prior experience working with young people or in a school setting (preferred but not essential).
- Possess strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science (GCSE A* - C)
- Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Inspire and motivate students in the classroom
- Hold high expectations and be committed to helping all students reach their full potential
- Deliver well-structured lessons for small groups and 1:1 sessions
- Be flexible and self-motivated
Role Responsibilities:
- Support students during class-based activities
- Work with small groups both inside and outside the classroom
- Lead 1:1 sessions
- Assist the class
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
