Senior Business Analyst - MiFID II Transaction Reporting

We’re partnering with a prestigious global hedge fund to hire a Senior Business Analyst to join their MiFID II Transaction Reporting function. This is a key role within the business, focused on ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and driving improvements in reporting accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
As a consultant, you will be working with our client for an initial 6-month period, with the overt expectation to be made permanent or to be extended. Their offices are based in Central London and will require a presence 5 days a week.
You will be responsible for- Ensure full compliance with MiFID II transaction reporting requirements across all relevant trading activities.
- Own the end-to-end resolution of reporting issues, remediation of data quality issues, and response to FCA queries.
- Perform detailed data validation, and root-cause analysis to identify and remediate reporting exceptions.
- Act as the key liaison between Compliance, Front Office, Technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Provide expertise and guidance on the transaction reporting lifecycle, including trade booking, enrichment, submission, and monitoring.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of reporting systems and processes, ensuring scalability and auditability.
- Monitor and assess the impact of regulatory changes on reporting obligations and ensure appropriate updates to systems and processes.
- Significant experience in a Hedge Fund, Asset Management, or leading Financial Institution with exposure to trade and regulatory reporting.
- Deep understanding of MiFID II reporting obligations, transaction reporting flows, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills; able to work with large data sets to identify issues and trends.
- Demonstrated experience managing reporting exceptions and troubleshooting root causes across complex data pipelines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and operate at a senior level.
- Solid grasp of the impact of regulatory change on the trade lifecycle and operational reporting.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Benefits
Initial 6-month contract. Paying in the region of £100,000 - £120,000 per annum.
