Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Degree Apprenticeships)
The School of Engineering and Computing is one of the largest Schools at the University, with over 7,600 students studying a wide portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses covering everything from architecture to astrophysics; aerospace to aviation; construction to computing.
Our engineering-related courses focus on aerospace engineering, civil engineering, electrical and robotics engineering, fire and safety, mechanical engineering, and other specialist fields.
This post presents an excellent opportunity for a candidate to support the school's thriving Degree Apprenticeship provision in the areas of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Mechatronics provision. It is expected that the candidate will be based primarily on the Preston campus and support the growth and delivery of the Professional Engineering Degree Apprenticeship.
Essential criteria for the post include having a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and relevant professional teaching qualifications or membership of the HE Academy and a commitment to continuing professional development, a experience of delivering to Degree Apprenticeship standards, and a vision and commitment to providing an excellent learner experience.
It is essential that all applicants should have a good working knowledge of Degree Apprenticeships within the United Kingdom’s Education Inspection Framework.Applicants must meet all the essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview.
