Job Description
Core Aspects of the Warehouse Operations Manager role will include:
- End-to-End Supply Chain Management - Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.
- Optimise Logistics Operations - Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Supplier & Vendor Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to drive performance and cost efficiency's.
- Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Customer Order Fulfilment - Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Data-Driven Performance Management - Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.
- Warehouse & Facility Oversight - Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.
- Process Improvement & Cost Reduction - Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Warehouse Manager should have:
- Proven experience in warehouse management
- Proficiency in warehouse software packages and MS Office
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage 30 employees
- Strong decision-making skills and a hands-on approach to work
- An understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Commutable daily to Yeovil 5 days per weel
- A competitive salary between £60,000 and £65,000 per annum
- Car Allowance £9,000
- Holiday leave of 20 days plus bank holidays
