About the role.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join The Very Group. You’ll report directly into the Merchandiser for the area so lots of opportunity to further develop your skills.

This is a unique position, where you will be a Brand Specialist for a global strategic brand partner. Day to day you will be meeting and handling brand relationships, working closely with the buying and wider merchandising teams to ensure seamless delivery of the strategy, ensuring we land the right stock, at the right time, to the customer.

We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated, great attention to detail, has strong commercial acumen and a passion for data and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience, already working as an established Assistant Merchandiser.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong partnership between Very and one of our key strategic brand partners, ensuring clear communication and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Trade Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and supplier performance. Assist in analysing data to support decision-making processes and share this weekly with the Account Managers of our brand partner to drive performance enhancing actions.
  • Critical Path Management: Support the delivery of effective critical path management to fulfil merchandise plans. This will include order book reconciliations, Purchase Order raising and the tracking of PO’s to ensure timely delivery of products and immediate go live onsite without delay.
  • Stock Management: Work alongside the merchandise planner to manage stock flow through the business. Full ownership of replenishment, utilising the Forecasting application. Coordinate cross functionally with our pricing team to ensure volume and margin is maintained whilst managing stock level efficiently.
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Gather and analyse customer reviews and feedback to inform future buying decisions and improve product offerings.
