Early Years Apprentice (Apprenticeship)

Little Darlings Childcare are looking for a passionate, friendly apprentice to join the team and work towards a level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.

The key responsibilities would be:

Playing with children
Holding babies
Assisting children with eating
Changing nappies
Assisting on daily outings
Keep records and reports for children as required and following the EYFS framework requirements

To follow all safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures

Learning our high cleaning and organisation standards as we’ve had an outstanding Ofsted grade for the last 7 years that we keep up continuously. In return you can look forward to -

Performance bonuses, Christmas and summer staff do, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays. Closed over a week at Christmas, a week end of January, both weeks of Easter and a week in August as well.

Training

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Darlings Childcare will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered through Little Darling's dedicated training provider, Realise.

Qualifications required

Maths and English at Level 1 - desirable

Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.
