This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our wonderful team in Children's Outpatients here at Royal United Hospitals, Bath. The successful candidate will work in children's Outpatients 22.5 hours per week.

Are you a nurse looking for Mon-Friday social working hours? Are you a paediatric nurse with previous children's outpatient experience? Are you competent in venepuncture and chemo care? Are you a hardworking, passionate, supportive team player who is dedicated to delivering high standards of nursing care within a driven and enthusiastic team?

We work day shifts starting at either 08.30, 09.00, 09.30 and 10.00

Main duties of the job

In order to be considered for this role, you need to hold a valid U.K NMC registration or be currently studying towards a nursing qualification in the U.K.

  • Registered Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Trained in Paediatrics

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Up to date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a newly qualified nurse
  • Understanding of equality & diversity and how to apply it to self and others.
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements of it for own practice & behaviour
  • Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing
  • Knowledge & practice after qualification & preceptorship
