Nursery Housekeeper

Position Overview:

As a Nursery Housekeeper at Banana Moon Day Nurseries, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children, staff, and visitors. Your meticulous attention to hygiene and detail will ensure that our nursery remains a nurturing space where children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the nursery's cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld to a high level.
• Maintain cleanliness of the children’s bathing and nappy changing areas throughout the day.
• Carry out daily laundry and manage cleaning supplies effectively.
• Work collaboratively with staff to support daily operations, including assistance during meal times.
• Uphold confidentiality and handle personal information about children discreetly.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to promote a safe environment.
• Assist in cleaning equipment and supporting the Nursery Chef as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in a nursery, school, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH regulations (desirable).
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work flexibly and supportively as part of a team.
