The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career by leading engagements, building deep client relationships, and progressing to a senior leadership role within our dynamic firm. You will primarily manage audit engagements for diverse clients whilst overseeing complex accounts and tax matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in building out the audit desk, including managing an existing portfolio of key clients. Once you demonstrate strong managerial capabilities, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in managing the existing team of 5-7 professionals, with the potential to expand this team as our client base grows.
For the right candidate, and with proven experience, there will be a clear path to become a senior leader in the firm within 2-3 years. This is far quicker progression than larger corporate practices offer.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead end-to-end execution of audit engagements, including fieldwork coordination, team supervision, and partner/client reporting
- Manage on-site audit teams through planning, execution, and completion stages
- Prepare financial statements, tax computations and management report compilations
- Communicate audit status and build relationships with clients
- Identify and implement continuous audit process improvements
- Supervise and mentor junior team members on technical and soft skills
- Contribute to business development initiatives by networking, maintaining client satisfaction, and identifying expansion areas
- Play a key role in strategic planning for the audit function
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 7+ years' experience in an audit senior or manager role
- Significant experience executing audits under ISA standards
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and financial reporting
- Strong working knowledge of corporation tax
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, accounting systems and data analysis tools
- Strong communication, people management and client relations skills
- Eligibility to work in UK without restriction
