Milk Education are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in our partner primary schools across Oldham on short and/or long term contracts.

This Teaching Assistant job will involve supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom and will be based in either a KS1 or KS2 class. You will also be expected to work with groups of children and occasionally on a one to one basis as and when required.

This Teaching Assistant job is full-time and the working hours will be 08:30am- 15:30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break.

Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as
appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant - Non-negotiables:

  • Have a relevant childcare qualification or above
  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people,
specifically those with SEND within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
