Part Time Teaching AssistantAre you looking for part time work in an education setting? We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident working with young children with special educational needs to join a mainstream primary school in Bedminster, Bristol.

• Midday, Monday
• Friday15 hours per week 45
• 50 per half day, dependent on experienceStart 12/05/2025, ongoing to the end of the school yearAbout the roleAssist in the development and delivery of learning plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCO.Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively, promoting a safe and positive learning environment.Assist with personal care and other physical needs where necessary.Observe and monitor student progress, reporting any concerns to relevant staff members.Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth.Support children in accessing the curriculum and maintaining engagement in lessons.The right candidatePrevious experience working with children with special needs
• particularly those on the autism spectrumA patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children who have additional emotional or physical needs.Maths and English at GCSE
• Minimum grade 4/C or equivalent / relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE)This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are looking for a challenging but highly rewarding position.
