This post is to support a young man under 20yrs – he is looking for male support workers who are like minded he enjoys – playing games on his iPad – playing chess and going for walks – or watching TV and to have someone to chat to about everyday things, How will I make a difference?
As a support worker you’ll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person’s needs first, this means: You will adapt your support to fit what the person needs and wants daily.
You will encourage the person to make their own choices, big and small.You will encourage them to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.
You will support the person to build confidence and life skills.
You will support person to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
You will be understanding, allowing the person to take their time and do things at their own pace.
