Halesowen - Assistant Accountant
You'll be joining at a key time and will play an integral role in driving performance, providing insight, and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysisLead budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with department headsProvide meaningful financial insight and reporting to operational teams and senior leadershipSupport strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario planningCollaborate with non-finance stakeholders to influence financial outcomes and ensure budget adherenceDrive process improvements and support internal controlsAssist with year-end audit and statutory reporting requirementsMentor junior finance staff and support team development where necessary
Skills & Requirements:
At least 50% way through a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Proven experience in a similar management or financial accountant roleStrong commercial acumen and experience working closely with non-finance teamsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in Excel and modern finance systems (e.SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)Able to hit the ground running and add value quickly in a contract setting
