SEN Teacher - Wakefield

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated and hardworking teacher who are committed to raising the attainment of young people in SEN based provision working with ages 11-19. The school is rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted and continues to demonstrate this throughout their values and ethos.
- Full-time (Mon-Fri 8:30am-15:30pm)
- SEN-based provision
- Supporting children with complex needs aged 11-19
The successful candidate will:
- plan and teach lessons, work with small groups and individual students.
- prepare teaching materials
- help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
- manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress
- understanding of the national curriculum and adapting this to the children's needs and abilities
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
- Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
- Minimum of three months UK residency
- Hold a QTS
- Experience with SEN pupils
