What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic highly skilled Teacher of Art to a permanent vacancy at The Henry Box School. Applications are welcome from ECTs or experienced teachers.

We are looking for candidates who are committed to the development of both the subject and the department. The successful candidate should be able to inspire and motivate students as well as have the ability to work well as part of a lively and professional team.

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Right to work in the UK already in place
  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Art and Textiles
  • Effective behaviour management
  • Knowledge of planning, assessment and record-keeping
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to further training and development
  • Willingness and ability to be an effective tutor, including a willingness to teach PSHE
  • It would also be desirable for you to be able to teach KS5 Art
