Customer Operations Coordinator – 8 Month FTC

Elevation Recruitment are working with a growing business based in Wakefield who are looking for support with a Customer Operations Coordinator on a contract basis for around 8 months.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role which is very busy. You’ll be responsible for maintaining customer records, supporting product performance checks, and coordinating engineer visits - ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers are well looked after.
You’ll be speaking regularly with customers, so patience, empathy, and clear communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers to update and verify their details
- Monitor product performance via internal systems
- Identify and flag any issues or system glitches
- Arrange engineer visits where required (no cost to the customer)
- Manage and update Excel spreadsheets and internal databases
- Maintain both digital records and hard copy customer files
- Ensure ongoing audit compliance (e.g. chasing customer readings)
- Liaise with engineers and coordinate daily schedules
- Build knowledge of UK geography to support efficient planning
- Provide clear, friendly support - even when handling resistant customers
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong customer service skills, with patience and compassion
- Proactive approach
- Good level of IT literacy (Excel, Microsoft Teams, internal systems)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Practical, common-sense approach with solid life experience
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
- Office-based initially (5 days per week) for training and support
