CAMEO operates across our Foundation Trust via two established bases in Cambridge and Peterborough. This post will be located in the dynamic and multi-cultural city of Cambridge and surrounding areas.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 4 coordinator. The individuals must be compassionate, committed and have good working knowledge of psychosis. The post holder will work with service users to provide recovery focused interventions through ongoing support, practical assistance and problem resolution under the supervision of a senior team member.To contribute to the regular reviews of service users in the team.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support service users with their recovery journeys through collaborative goal setting with a range of priority health and social needs under the supervision of a senior member of the team.
Help to identify early signs of relapse by monitoring the user’s progress, level of functioning and mental state and alert the appropriate staff involved in the individual's care.
Participate in regular planning and review meetings with the clinician supervising pieces of work and maintain quality and management of clinical caseload within supervision process.
Maintain adequate records as required by existing procedures, entering appropriate details on the service user’s case notes as necessary.
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.

Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities- Work with service users to facilitate access and engagement in a range of socially inclusive (including vocational) community-based activities.
- Develop an alliance based upon collaboration and mutual respect and within appropriate and transparent boundaries.
- Help users gain access to resources to include benefits and welfare rights, using internal and external expertise as required.
- Provide simple psychological interventions as required under the supervision of an appropriately qualified clinician.
- Attend and participate in wider team/care plan review meetings as appropriate.
- Develop good working relationships and work collaboratively with other organizations that are able to help individuals achieve their goals, including vocational and educational providers, training providers, voluntary agencies, accommodation and financial services.
- Participate in the on-going review of the STR workers role and contribute to the Trust-wide process.
Person specification
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties other than dementia
- Previous experience of working in a health or social care setting, either statutory or non-statutory service
- Previous work with people suffering with serious mental distress evidence required
- Experience of working with service users in a community setting
- Lived experience of mental health
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria- Ability to work as part of an MDT
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to extend compassion and empathy for vulnerable people, advocating on their behalf as required
- Basic understanding of the interface between health/social care/housing/education/criminal justice services and a commitment to overcoming potential barriers
- A good working knowledge of the Self Directed Support system
Knowledge & Understanding
Essential criteria- Good knowledge about psychosis and First Episode Psychosis
- Good understanding of the difficulties faced by people experiencing mental health problems
- An awareness of the principles of social inclusion
Physical Requirements
Essential criteria- Ability to travel independently in the community
- Full UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Education/Qualification
Essential criteria- GCSE’s grade A-C (including Maths and English) -Evidence required
- NVQ Level 3 OR equivalent experience (Grade required)
- A full Care Certificate (Evidence required)
- Training in mental health or social care (grade qualification required)
