PSHE Teacher – Full-Time – September Start – Levenshulme, Manchester
Teaching Personnel is working on behalf of a diverse and inclusive Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Levenshulme, Manchester, to recruit a PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) Teacher. This full-time role will begin in September to cover a long-term absence.The school is recognised for its excellent pastoral support, positive learning culture, and strong reputation in the local community. Pay for this role will be in line with your current teaching scale and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan engaging and relevant content around key themes such as health, wellbeing, relationships, careers, and citizenship
- Support pupils in developing essential life skills, emotional resilience, and informed decision-making
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of a diverse student cohort
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and wider school departments to ensure a consistent, whole-school approach to personal development
- Encourage open dialogue, inclusion and respect within the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching PSHE or related subjects such as Citizenship, Sociology, or Health & Social Care
- Be confident discussing sensitive and contemporary issues in an age-appropriate and inclusive way
- Be passionate about supporting students' personal development and wellbeing
- Have excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills
