The Hospital Operations (HO) workstream is part of the Transformation Directorate which supports the NHP vision and strategic objectives from an operations lens. The work is currently formed around 4 areas:
- Hospital 2.0 Target Operating Model
- Assurance
- Operational Readiness
- Estates and Facilities Management
As Estates Senior Managerthe post holder will work as part of our dynamic estates and facilities management team in delivering an effective programme of work. Key areas of activity include leading the Estates Services elements for the estates and facilities team during design meetings, business case reviews, operational readiness assurance activities and development of New Hospital Programme guidance and support products in collaboration with key stakeholders.
You will need to work with the wider team to create evidence-based operating model for new hospitals and set about answering any areas that are not understood with research learning from and capturing the voice of Patient, Public and professional groups.
The role supports the business in driving transformation and innovation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
The post holder will support the Head of Department and their team to ensure that their workstream programme is planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery:
Key responsibilities- Lead on the development and delivery of Estates services across the NHP programme.
- To be responsible for advice within Estates as appropriate to the agreed needs of the NHP programme.
- To network, influence and build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to identify requirements, win support and achieve the programme objectives.
- Provide expert adviceand interpretation on matters regarding Estates compliance legislation as they apply to the healthcare estate.
- To work effectively with internal and external partners, and other stakeholders, to achieve positive results including through collaborative working.
- To develop and lead a team that will drive and support high performing Directorate activity.
- To ensure that service within the Estates division support the needs of the NHP programme, delivering appropriate guidance at key milestones.
- Research and influence innovation and new technology within healthcare Estates services..
- Deputise for the Head of EFM when required
- Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
