This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher to contribute to the academic development of students at a thriving school in Chorley.
Job Overview
We wish to appoint a Teacher of Geography to work within our busy Geography department across key stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a teacher with high expectations of standards and achievements, who is committed, inspirational and enthusiastic and is passionate about their subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Encourage students to develop a passion for Geography and critical thinking skills
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular activities
- Work collaboratively with staff to provide an excellent learning experience for all students
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Geography Teacher with a passion for the subject
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with a positive approach to teaching
