We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and high calibre sports coach or Higher Level Teaching Assistant with responsibility for PE to join our energetic and dynamic team. We are looking for a confident and flexible HLTA who is happy to both teach PE and cover across the school as and when required.

The successful candidate will be self-driven and a strong team player. A* to C grades in GCSE English and mathematics are essential.

What we are looking for:

• Someone confident to deliver on PE lesson taught across the primary range
• A background in sports coaching or has a passion for teaching PE
• Have good organisational skills and a good understanding of health and safety
• Able to provide appropriate mentoring, support, guidance and advice to teachers and run extra-curricular activities
• Highly motivated, innovative and eager to contribute to the life of the school
• Have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of our team

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson in PE across the whole full time
• Provide after school sports clubs and extra-curricular activities as appropriate
• Support teachers with the teaching of PE and monitor and support where necessary
• Be the school’s Sports Lead
• Support intra and inter sports competitions locally and across the borough if appropriate
• Cover lessons should the need arise
