Locum Legal Assistant – South West Local Authority – 3 months + - Remote Working
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team is working with an established Local Authority based in the South West which is seeking to appoint an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team on an interim basis.
This is a part-time position, offered for an initial term of 3-6 months. Hybrid working is required.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Providing advice on routine and simple legal issues and cases
- Researching and understanding relevant areas of the law to ensure Council policies and procedures remain compliant
- Supporting the team with their caseloads
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships, both with clients and other members of staff.
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be assigned by one of the Legal Service Managers
Knowledge of Adult Social Care law is essential, preferably gained within a Local Authority.
An hourly umbrella rate of up to £20 D.O.E is offered for this role.
