[ref. m0576924] Quality Engineer - Problem Steering

Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking a Quality Engineer (Problem Steering Engineer) x 4 to join our highly skilled and Quality team.

The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

Reporting to the Quality Manager (Product Problem Management), you will be responsible, you will be the voice of the customer and recognised point of contact for all quality topics within your modules.

What you will do:

• Be fully responsible for the definition and delivery of all quality metrics and goals within your relevant modules.
• Manage all quality deliverables for highly complex modules (e.g. complete Chassis, Steering, Powertrain systems) and work with multiple stakeholders and customers e.g. cross functional within the module, cross-plant and cross-project
• Managing the problem issue landscape for your respective modules. Specifically, ensuring all released issues are assigned a Problem Owner and that they progress through the problem resolution process within the defined timeframe.
• Tracking measures and actions to ensure agreed sufficiency plans / resolutions meet or exceed the required quality target.
• Creating and preparing reports as required and present out detailed status. Typically, this would be for the overall problem landscape for your module/s as well as analysis e.g. Issues open/closed, time to next milestone, issue severity, lessons learned etc.
• Using quality management tools and methods to enable and support the Module team in delivering their overall quality objectives.
• Interfacing with other stakeholders to ensure a quality mindset is embedded in all interactions. E.g. Design, Test, Validation, Manufacturing, Aftersales.

Who you are:

• Degree or an equivalent level of qualification in automotive manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant commodity experience (structures, chassis, interior, exterior, electrical powertrain, electrical systems)
• Experience as a quality engineer with a proactive, independent and self-starting approach.
• Comfortable working in a fluid environment and able to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders including Design, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing and Sales.
• Good knowledge of vehicle and/or component manufacture and the quality methods necessary to deliver premium products to multiple markets.
• A positive behaviour mindset and influencer. Always looking for the best outcome for the customer and the business.
• Good presentation skills along with a logical and analytical mindset
