Amazon’s Social Media team is looking for a creative and driven UK Social Media Content Specialist to help grow and manage our social channels. This role is based in our communications organisation and sits within our global Reputation and Content Strategy team.In this role, you’ll help shape Amazon’s stories with customers, employees, creators, and communities through engaging, educational, and entertaining social media content. You’ll work with internal teams and external creators, contribute to strategic planning, and execute test-and-learn content approaches across platforms.
This includes content related to our top business priorities—like retail, sustainability, employee experience, and more.
We’re looking for someone who understands digital culture, thrives in fast-paced environments developing thumb-stopping assets, and has an eye for content that resonates. As a successful candidate, you'll have a proven track record of rolling up your sleeves to strategise and execute innovative, top-performing social content that keeps getting better over time.You should also be curious and excited about using AI creatively —testing new tools, generating ideas, and finding ways to scale and boost productivity. This is a role that requires strong creative and technical skills on a team that works hard, moves quickly, and has fun.
Key job responsibilities- Support the development and execution of social media strategies across platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Create, curate, and publish engaging content that aligns with Amazon’s voice and goals
- Leverage generative AI tools (e.g. for ideation, copywriting, image generation, editing) to enhance creative output and productivity
- Monitor social trends—including AI-driven content trends—and performance metrics to inform future content
- Help manage the day-to-day operations of Amazon’s social media channels
- Conduct community management to connect with other brands and customers in and out of our owned channels
- Drive continual improvement of social content, backed by data, through an understanding of the link between content quality and performance- Experience in social media, content creation, or marketing
- Strong editing skills, especially for short-form content (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Experience using generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, Nova, ChatGPT, Runway, etc.) in a creative or content production context)
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and emerging trends
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail
- Strong writing skills- Demonstrated passion for testing new creative tools, including emerging AI technology
- Experience with social analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, or native platform analytics)
- Basic understanding of paid social strategies
- Creative mindset with a passion for visual storytelling (photo/video)
- Agency or other corporate background
- Experience working with creators or influencers is a plus
