Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with Autism and SEMH needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the schools supportive team at a special education needs (SEN) school in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide full-time support to students with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism and SEMH.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalized learning plans.
- Foster an environment that promotes inclusion, independence, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Help manage classroom behavior and provide support during social and emotional development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with Autism and/or SEMH is desirable.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff.
- A passion for supporting students in reaching their full potential.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow individual care plans.
