Position: GCSE English TutorLocation: Hucknall, Nottinghamshire (in-person and remote options available)
About the Role
As an English Tutor, you'll provide focused, personalised support to secondary school students, helping them grow in confidence and deepen their understanding of English Language and Literature. Through engaging and accessible teaching methods, you’ll guide students toward exam success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one or small group sessions tailored to each student's needs
- Support development in reading, writing, and analytical thinking
- Simplify complex texts and exam strategies in an approachable way
- Offer regular progress updates to parents and schools
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE English Language and/or Literature
- A confident and engaging teaching style
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
- A degree in English or Education is desirable, but not essential
- Dependability, patience, and a commitment to helping students succeed
