Salary: £39,162 - £45,550 p.a. (£48,788 - £56,747 pro rata)

Job Purpose: We are looking to recruit an innovative nurse who is ready for a new challenge. Team Leaders lead School Nursing and Health Visiting teams across The Highland Council area. This will give you the opportunity to influence practice, support staff to deliver diverse services aimed at supporting children, young people and families across Highland.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of leadership and management of staff, caseloads and can provide evidence of continuing Professional Development.
As a highly skilled professional the Team Leader will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience and will lead and enable the team to provide a high quality service.
In this role you will be supported by Associate Lead Nurses, you will have access to regular supervision and other exciting development opportunities as they arise.
The position will be based in Inverness, covering the Inverness South area. We endeavor to take a flexible approach to your working hours and would welcome informal discussions.

Requirements
Training:- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification or equivalent (desired but not essential).
- Educated to degree level.
- Child welfare and protection post graduate certificate/ Master’s (or willing to work towards)
- Current NMC registration (part 1 or 2 & part 3) Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting /School Nurse)
Also:
- Be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the service
