Locum Social Worker - Carer Assessment & Kinship Team - North London
A North London borough is seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join its Carer Assessment & Kinship Team. This specialist role requires expertise in assessing family and friends for viability, Special Guardianship, and Connected Carer assessments.
About the Role:
Conduct initial viability assessments of family and friendsProgress cases to full Special Guardianship & Connected Carer assessments
Prepare comprehensive reports for the fostering panel and court proceedings
Work both virtually and in person (office attendance approx. once per week)
What They're Looking For:
Essential experience in viability, SGO, and Connected Carer assessmentsStrong assessment and analytic skills
Ability to prepare clear, evidence-based reports
Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively
Please Note: We can only shortlist candidates with direct experience in this area. Supervising Social Worker experience alone does not meet the criteria
