As Head of Corporate Communications at The Insolvency Service, you will lead and shape our communications strategy, directing a talented and high-performing team of 20+ communications professionals across external communications, internal communications, stakeholder management, events, change communications and digital media.A high-profile team, we work closely and effectively with all departments within our agency.
You will line manage three outstanding G7 colleagues who are the backbone of our dedicated and experienced team.
As a member of our agency’s executive leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering our organisational strategy and reputation.
Responsibilities
Key accountabilities include:
- provide strategic communications leadership as a member of The Insolvency Service's executive leadership team, reporting to the Director of People and Communications, with a direct relationship with our CEO Dean Beale
- lead the development and delivery of integrated communications strategies that support the agency's priorities and the Government Communication Plan
- direct our external affairs function, managing relationships with media, stakeholders, and partners to enhance our reputation and influence
- drive our internal communications and change programme, ensuring our people are informed, engaged, and supported through organisational change
- lead a programme of events and engagement activities for staff and stakeholders
- oversee our digital communications strategy, ensuring we effectively reach and engage our audiences across all channels
- build and maintain strong partnerships across the Department for Business and Trade and wider government communications network
- work closely with industry partners and stakeholders
- lead, develop and inspire a dynamic team of 20+ communications professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
- manage communications budgets effectively and ensure value for money in all activities
- you will also be part of a call-out rota with occasional out of hours duties, for which you will be compensated
