Job overview

Post is full time fixed term for 1 year to cover maternity leave.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Ward Clerk to be based on Children's ward and Paediatric assessment unit in Princess of wales hospital, Bridgend.

We aim to provide a high standard of care within our ward and we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, has a friendly manner and an excellent work ethic.

Good organisational and communication skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to work. The successful candidate will ideally have previous office and front of house experience, ideally in a similar role within the NHS, Social Care or other health related environment.

A good general education, 3 GCSEs or equivalent, are required. Knowledge of Health Board IT systems to include WPAS, WCP and Oracle would be desirable although full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to work in a busy environment and have a sensitive, caring and non-judgmental attitude towards others. They must also have a flexible approach in their role and will be expected to assist with discharge planning.

The successful candidate will be working within a large multi-disciplinary team, whom are welcoming and friendly. The team consists of doctors, nurses ,HCSW's physiotherapists occupational therapists speech and language therapists and other support staff.
