Athletics Coach - Part Time - The Julie Rose Stadium

From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

We are looking for an Athletics Coach to help deliver the Julie Rose Junior Athletics sessions for children aged 5 – 11 at the Julie Rose Stadium. Ideally you will be self-motivated to plan sessions and enthusiastic to deliver the sessions. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with young children and coaching Athletics desirable but not essential.

This role is term time only however additional hours are always available here through the summer months, being able to help with events on site. A DBS check will follow for successful candidates.

We have a 400m 8 lane athletics track, 4 long jump/triple jump pits, high jump and an infield for throwing. All equipment set up and provided by the Stadium for the children.

Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Term time only)

• Previous coaching experience desirable
• Experience of working in a self motivated and proactive manner
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service
• Experience of working directly with customers, especially with children
• Excellent communication skills and personal presentation, with a genuine desire to work with customers to ensure they have an enjoyable experience
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organization boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues
• Flexible and adaptable

Salary: up to £11.44 per hour
