We are looking for a motivated, dynamic practitioner to work in our Minor Injury Unit.

We are looking for an enthusiastic registrant who can work well within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of patient focused care.
This busy unit attends to local residents and seasonal visitors and is staffed by dedicated MIU nurses and local general practitioners. The unit is accessed by a variety of patients with a range of injuries.
Informal visits or enquires are very welcome and encouraged prior to the closing date.

We have this exciting opportunity for you to join our friendly, supportive and knowledgeable team within the minor injury unit. The unit provides excellent care within our scope of practice, in line with the unit guidelines and Powys Teaching Health Board policies.
We are looking for an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Emergency Care Practitioner with proven clinical skills, who can work well within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of patient focused care.

The unit will provide exposure to various opportunities to support professional and personal development. The ability to work well within a team is essential together with the aptitude to work autonomously using your own initiative.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential criteria- Registered Nurse
- Emergency Nurse Practitioner
- Non-Medical Referrer
- Literacy and numeracy level 2, equivalent (GCSE A-C) or equivalent educational qualification
- Evidence of post basic academic studies at Diploma or degree
- Appropriate level of verbal and written English language skills as determined by formal assessment (if English is not first language)
- Knowledge of current professional issues
- Knowledge of basic and more advanced nursing interventions using up to date information and research
- Management or leadership course
- Independent Nurse Prescriber
- Mentorship qualification
- Appraisal training
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience in minor injuries/ minor illnesses in a primary care setting / A&E department or Minor Injury Unit
- People management skills
- Experience of Policy development and review
- Participation in the review of PGD’s
- Experience of teaching/facilitating of groups
Abilities
Essential criteria- Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of professional nursing issues in minor injury/illness care
- Able to articulate and evidence leadership achievements in driving and motivating a staff team
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate activity in meeting the requirements of clinical governance
- Demonstrate awareness of national developments and standards
- Must be IM&T literate and demonstrate evidence of its use
