In order to help achieve this ambition we are looking for a Children’s Practice Development Nurse to join the CLCH Academy to promote and facilitate practice development across our Children’s Community Nursing and Special School Nursing teams, in our North West London and North Central London Division.As a PDN you will join the CLCH Academy Team where you will be supported with your development at post graduate level in a robust career pathway.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
Promoting high standards of care through the demonstration of clinical expertise
Facilitating the creation of a positive learning environment in the workplace where staff development is encouraged and supported
Facilitating the induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of registered and non-registered nursing staff within the Children's Community and Special School Nursing Teams
Working alongside staff in individual teams undertaking a key role in practice development
Translating Academy priorities such as changes in nursing standards, new clinical roles such as Apprenticeships into their designated service

Education/Qualification
Essential criteria- Registered Children’s Nurse
- Working towards a Master’s degree level qualification or equivalent
- Clinical Leadership training
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
- Community Childrens Nursing qualification
- Project management qualification
- Learning and Development Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience within Childrens nursing acute ward based, community or Special School Nursing Services
- Experience supporting learning and development
- Experience in taking forward clinical and service change
- Experience of working in a changing and uncertain environment.
- Experience of delivering on development initiatives and leading change with individuals and teams.
- Experience of working with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of using evidence to inform best practice
- Experience of engaging with patients, the public and stakeholders
- Experience of report writing and presentation
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria- Knowledge of the national priorities relating to provision of complex children’s nursing services
