Mental Health Support Worker

We're looking for experienced, empathetic and resilient mental health support workers to join us in our purpose of offering hope and support for good mental health so that no one feels alone.
Our North East Essex Sanctuary is a new service that will provide support to those who are at risk of experiencing ill mental health or are feeling overwhelmed between 10am and 11pm, 365 days per year. As a mental health support worker, you will assess, monitor and support individuals on a one to one basis, via group work and in partnership with a variety of organisations within the locality whilst supporting service users to reach their goals.
You will be part of an experienced team who provide emotional support, face to face, online or via telephone, to people through active listening, de-escalation and distraction techniques, to prevent admission into emergency departments.
As this is a new service, we have a variety of shifts available between: 10am – 3pm / 10am – 6pm / 3pm – 8pm / 6pm – 11pm.For Colchester we have a specific need for: 6pm – 11pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday
