Our partner secondary school in Stockport is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher with a specialization in Biology. Your Role:
- Teach Engaging Biology Lessons: Deliver well-structured and dynamic Biology lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, making complex concepts accessible and exciting.
- Promote Scientific Inquiry: Encourage students to ask questions, explore the natural world, and develop a deeper understanding of biological processes.
- Collaborate with the Science Department: Work closely with fellow science teachers to design and implement an innovative and practical science curriculum.
- Utilize Practical Experiments: Incorporate hands-on experiments and practical demonstrations to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Support Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help them achieve their potential.
- Contribute to Extracurricular Activities: Get involved in science clubs, school trips, and STEM-related events to further enrich the students' educational experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science, with a strong focus on Biology.
- Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to nurturing student interest in science.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to convey complex biological concepts in an engaging and understandable way.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
