What you’ll be doing
You will update Hazard Verification Studies by applying relevant technical methodologies to assess both internal and external building hazards. In this role, you'll develop simplified design calculation hypotheses and define potential scenarios for each identified threat, ensuring all possible risks are carefully considered.
Additionally, you will identify and assess equipment at risk, evaluating its impact on functional redundancies. Managing the technical aspects related to hazard protection requirements within building and system designs will also be part of your responsibility, ensuring all safety protocols are met.
Throughout the design and construction phases, you will provide technical expertise on safety functional requirements, supporting design changes and requests as they arise. You will actively participate in Edvance-wide discipline meetings focused on hazard-related topics, contributing to discussions and keeping up to date with the latest developments.
Who you are
You’ll have a solid engineering background with a focus on safety or a similar area of expertise. You will bring hands-on experience in implementing safety requirements and conducting hazard studies, ideally within a highly regulated industry, and apply Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles in practice.
You’ll have experience in systems engineering, layout design, and pipework, along with proficiency in engineering design and review using software such as PDMS and Navisworks. You'll demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
