As a Clinical Lead Nurse mental health, you will play a critical role in providing support, assessment, and interventions to promote mental health and create a positive work environment. You will hold a lead role in the management of patients and will be integral in helping shape the service and relevant best practice management pathways.Duties and responsibilities:

Lead/manage junior members of staff
Supporting patients who have a mental health need in our inpatient units, throughout their pathway, from pre-admission through to onwards discharge
Complete risk assessments and provide advice on mental capacity assessments

Demonstrate safe clinical judgement in evaluating, interpreting and documenting the outcomes of mental health nursing

The right candidate will:

Have a valid NMC
Be a qualified Mental Health Nurse RMN
Have experience in a mental health role
Leadership abilities: you’ll manage larger teams, requiring strong people-management skills.

Manage challenging or disturbed behaviour, provide advice on medication and participate in discharge planning for inpatients who will require mental health support.
