Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker (SO2) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. This role will involve working closely with families who are experiencing various challenges, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them navigate through difficult times.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of family dynamics and the issues that can affect children and parents alike, including but not limited to, health, education, and social services. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized support plans and ensure families receive the quality care and assistance they need to thrive.

Through proactive engagement, you will empower families to build resilience and improve their overall well-being. Your role will involve regular visits to homes, community outreach, and facilitating workshops or support groups. Responsibilities
Engage with families to assess their needs and provide tailored support services.
Develop, implement, and review individual family support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
Facilitate workshops and support groups that promote family well-being and resilience.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions and interventions.
Act as an advocate for families, helping them access a range of services and resources.
Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other community organizations to coordinate support.

Provide guidance and education to families about health, education, and social services.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
Experience working with children and families in a supportive or holistic capacity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with families.
Knowledge of community resources and services available to families in need.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and effective time management.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.

Hours Per Week: 36.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £19.95
