Electro-Mechanical Service Technician

North Nottinghamshire base, UK travel

My client is a leading supplier of equipment to the Textile and Printing industry. Currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Service Technician to join their dynamic team. Responsible for the delivery, installation, servicing, and customer training of Industrial Embroidery Machinery and Textile Digital Print equipment across the UK.

Full training will be provided by a highly experienced Technician, with a period of approximately 3 months working at the Mansfield base before undertaking customer service visits. However, applicants MUST have a technical engineering background with proven experience in "Electro/Mechanical Machinery."

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 •  Machine preparation (new machines).
 •  Machine refurbishment.
 •  Delivery, installation, servicing, and training of machine users.
 •  Machinery repair and servicing both at base and customer premises.
 •  Travel across the UK with occasional hotel stopovers.
 •  Conducting machinery demonstrations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 •  Experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with a good understanding of 1 & 3-phase electrics.
 •  Working with small parts machinery operating at balanced high speeds.
 •  Electronic repairs and troubleshooting.
 •  AC, DC, Stepper, & Servo, motors and drives.
 •  PLC, CPU, controlled machines.
 •  Troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
 •  Fault diagnostics and circuit board replacement.
 •  Strong customer-facing skills.
 •  Ability to work independently with self-motivation.
 •  Capability to work across different product platforms.
 •  Willingness to learn new skills.
 •  Understanding of computer software-related programs.

POSITION DETAILS:

Full-time position (40 hours per week), with additional hours paid.

4 weeks annual holiday, rising to 5 weeks after 5 years of service.

Statutory holidays.

Laptop and phone provided as required.

Occasional travel with overnight stays required (2-3 nights per week).

A collaborative work environment with approximately 25 colleagues (small family business).
