About the Students' Union
The Students' Union is an independent charity that represents a student body from various countries at a leading university in Cirencester. As the central hub of student life, the Union enhances the student experience by offering a range of services, from social and cultural activities to professional development opportunities.The Union helps students thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
Although the Union operates independently, it works in close partnership with the university to ensure student voices are heard and their needs are met. Currently undergoing a period of transformation, the Students' Union is strengthening its governance and structures, providing a unique opportunity for the new Director to shape its future.
About the Role
The Director will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation of the Students' Union, overseeing strategic direction, governance, and operational delivery. They will collaborate with the Trustee Board, Student Officers, and university stakeholders to ensure the strategy of the Union meets student needs while enhancing services and activities.
The Director will cultivate a culture of inclusivity, ensuring the team is supported, motivated, and aligned with the Union’s mission. With a hands-on approach, they will be responsible for the effective financial and operational management of the Union, while also championing the student voice and ensuring the Union’s long-term sustainability.
