An Alternative Provision school in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher for a full-time role on a temp-to-perm contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that is committed to empowering students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) who require additional support to thrive academically and personally.
About the School
The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment tailored to meet the needs of children and young people with EHCPs. Many of the students have experienced barriers to learning in traditional settings and require skilled educators who can help them overcome challenges, including managing and addressing complex behaviours.
The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Geography lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Work closely with support staff to create an environment where every student can succeed.
- Implement creative strategies to support students with challenging behaviour.
- Track and monitor progress, ensuring lessons align with EHCP targets.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture, encouraging personal and academic growth.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an educator who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Has experience working in alternative provision, SEN, or similar settings.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage and engage students with challenging behaviour effectively.
- Is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
- Has excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
