Overview:

My client is a growing Construction company, and are seeking a new Financial and Helpdesk Assistant. This dual-role position has come available due to growth, and is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with experience in finance and customer service.

As an Employee-Owned company, you’ll play a vital role in our success and have a real say in our direction.

Financial Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with annual audits and monitor invoicing.
  • Manage supplier ledger, process expenses, and handle timesheets.
  • Conduct reconciliations and prepare supplier payments.
  • Support month-end close and contribute to process improvements.

Helpdesk & Contract Support Responsibilities:

  • Handle general administration and financial tasks.
  • Coordinate job logistics and liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Maintain job tracking systems and support subcontractor access.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in finance roles, with a preference for candidates with a background in SMEs.
  • Proficient with Sage 50, Sage Payroll, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in CIS, Reverse Charge VAT, and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
