Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified English Teacher with QTS and preferably a degree in English or a related subject. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to set an example of excellence for students. Confidence and the ability to inspire students are essential qualities for this role.
We welcome candidates with a diverse teaching background in UK schools but are open to outstanding candidates who meet our other criteria.
Responsibilities Specific to SEN- Tailored Support for Students:
- Teachers must provide high-quality education and therapeutic learning support for students with a wide range of SEN.
- This includes understanding and adapting teaching strategies to accommodate physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development needs.
- Differentiated Instruction:
- Teachers are required to know when and how to differentiate lessons appropriately to ensure all students, including those with SEN, can be taught effectively.
- Inclusive Teaching Practices:
- A clear understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs, including disabilities, high ability, and English as an additional language, is essential.
- Teachers must use distinctive approaches to engage and support these students, ensuring they achieve their potential.
- Behavioural Support:
- Teachers are expected to use nurturing approaches to manage behaviour effectively.
- This includes understanding challenges posed by SEN students and applying appropriate strategies to support their learning and well-being.
