The role involves maintaining accurate records of SEND students' needs, confidentially managing professional reports, and coordinating educational and health care assessments.

You will play a vital role in the coordination of annual reviews, including gathering evidence, inviting stakeholders, and managing post-review actions.

Key responsibilities include producing reports and letters, coordinating the transition of Year 6 SEND students, and serving as the first point of contact for the SENDCo team. You will manage sensitive information, process referrals, and ensure that data related to SEND students is accurately inputted and monitored.

  • Detail-Oriented: Pays close attention to the accuracy of reports, data entry, and record-keeping, ensuring compliance with legal and school policies.
  • Excellent Communicator: Communicates effectively with parents, staff, and external professionals, using sensitivity and clarity, both in writing and verbally.
  • Empathetic: Shows genuine understanding and compassion for the needs of SEND students and their families, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Confidential: Handles sensitive student information with the utmost discretion, always maintaining confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable managing a dynamic workload and adapting to changing priorities, especially when dealing with emergencies or last-minute requests.
