Due to expansion within the Construction Team a permanent job for a Senior International Construction Broker has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Senior International Construction Broker means you will be facilitating the placement of insurance and reinsurance contracts in accordance with the client’s requests and regulatory requirements. Duties will include assisting with the placement of designated risks, including production of documentation, and maintenance throughout the risk life cycle (Underwriting Submissions, market Reform Contracts, Wordings, Endorsements).You will also maintain and enhance knowledge of the insurance marketplace, trends and cycles in order to capitalise on market opportunities, develop and manage client relationships – overseas travel may be required, develop and manage relationships with market representatives i.e. Underwriters, other Brokers and assist with production of data and submission documentation for underwriters.
Further duties will also include ensuring that accounts are serviced efficiently and professionally, demonstrating ability to communicate technical knowledge to various stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory requirements and interacting and collaborating with other divisional units.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an International Construction Broker will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have strong persuasive and influencing skills, excellent IT and organisational skills, an ability to perform effectively to tight deadlines with good personal organisation and time management skills and anticipate problems in advance and make contingencies.You will also be client facing and customer focused with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, proactive and excellent attention to detail and ability to plan meticulously.
