About the Role: Wills Consultants are looking for a Shift Engineer for an industry leader in recycling based in Wellingborough.
The Shift Engineer will receive:- Basic salary of £44,000

Call out between 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday and Weekends (48 hours) on a 4-weekly rota.
As a Shift Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Minimising production downtime by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and responding to unplanned breakdowns within the stipulated time frames
- Responding to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner
- Carrying out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments, and company policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop
- Ensuring parts are booked out correctly to help control stock levels in stores
Requirements: As a Shift Engineer you will need:
- Electrical qualification – 18th/19th edition or equivalent.
- Experience working with production process machinery, e.g., granulators, belt conveyors, hammermills, extrusion machines, colour separators, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, shafts, etc.
- To have the ability to diagnose faults and to test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and are able to read and understand electrical drawings.
