Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £17.71 per hour
Job type: Permanent, Full-time. 12-hour shifts.
About Bryan's Salads:
Bryans Salads Ltd is a third-generation family business based in the rural moss lands in Tarleton, Lancashire.
We predominantly specialize in washed, ready to eat sliced lettuce and salad leaf, yet we also produce high quality ready to cook vegetable packs and salad bowls, with or without added protein and vegetables, for the catering and food service industry among others.
The Bryan family have been based on the same site for nearly 60 years, initially as a farming enterprise and Bryans Salads Ltd has been in operation for over 20 years. The business has experienced exponential growth recently culminating in the recent expansion of the passionate, diligent team that the Bryan family have worked hard to create.Our team work 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year to consistently ensure that the products our customers purchase from us are the best that money can buy.
Throughout the summer months, we grow the majority of our lettuce within a one-mile radius of our site.This gives us the great advantage of being able to harvest, slice, wash, pack, collate and dispatch our products to our customers within 12 hours. You can't get fresher than that!
Forever looking at ways to progress and expand, Bryans Salads Ltd are midway through the next hi-tech expansion. Future plans are always in the front of our mind and our Senior Management Team are dedicated to ensuring that we stay at the forefront of quality and food safety within the industry.
About the role:
You will carry out various mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair activities on our production machinery in adherence to legislative, HSE and company standards. There may be some occasional electrical tasks, so experience of electrical maintenance is advantageous, but not essential.

Maintenance Engineer - Requirements:
- Apprentice-trained or experience through time-served
- Ideally, level 3 qualified
- Are a positive, personable and an effective team player
- Are driven and committed
- Have acute attention to detail
- Have top-notch troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Are self-motivated and organized
- Are enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable
Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Carrying out maintenance, setting machines, troubleshooting and repair duties, across
- Providing leadership in maintaining plant production capacity
- Continuous improvement activities increasing plant reliability
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of equipment, maximization of production, efficiency, improving safety and minimizing downtime
- Contribution to the delivery of production targets and HSE KPIs
- Providing operator and maintenance training to maximize multi-skilling
