Job Advertisement: Science Teacher (Key Stage 3 Alternative Provision)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking to make a real difference? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a Key Stage 3 Alternative Provision, working with small classes of students with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to transform lives and support students in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across all key topics, tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students with EHCPs, helping them achieve academic progress and develop key skills.
- Utilize effective behaviour management techniques to foster a positive, structured learning environment.
- Set clear expectations, act as a role model, and provide consistent, reliable support.
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of the students.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Have experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those with EHCPs.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills, patience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable students.
- Be reliable, adaptable, and committed to helping every student succeed, no matter their background or challenges.
- Be able to work full-time with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
