Our Future Leadership Structure will see our clinical teams working more closely with partners at place level alongside strengthening clinical and professional leadership. We are developing a clinical transformation programme alongside our partners to enhance the clinical outcomes our service users experience as well as continuing to improve experience of care.
Now that consultation for phase three has ended and initial appointment into roles has taken place, we are able to commence recruitment into a number of Matron positions across our services including:
- Inpatients (Crisis, Psychiatric Liaison & ECT) - Wedgewood, Bury St Edmunds
- Community - Children & Young People, Adult IDT & PCNs, Older Adult and Specialist services - Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich
- Inpatients (PICU, AHP Service, Older Persons and Crisis, Psychiatric Liaison, ECT and Police Triage) - Woodlands, Ipswich
- Community - Children & Young People (Child & Family, Youth, LD CAMs & Emotional Wellbeing Hub), Adult
- Inpatients (adult wards) - Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds

Main duties of the job
As Matron, you will work closely with the locality leadership team to ensure that high quality care is delivered within your services and will provide professional leadership to the nursing workforce.
You will promote a culture of learning and openness and ensure clinical staff have the knowledge, capability, systems and support to deliver evidence based care and embed lessons learned in practice for the improvement of patient experience.

**This post attracts a recruitment premium of £3,000 (pro-rata for part time roles). This is a one off payment with half paid on appointment and half paid after the completion of a satisfactory probation period (6 months). The premium is taxable. Please note that should you leave employment, or choose to move to an alternative post within the Trust that does not attract this recruitment premium, you will be required to reimburse all or some it, as follows: 100% of the value of the premium in the first 12 months; 50% of the value of the premium in the period 12 months to 2 years following appointment.

Skills
Essential criteria- Confident manner. Approachable, tactful, and diplomatic.
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Diploma level/Degree in relevant health/social care profession, eg RMN, RLDN OT, Social Worker.
- Current relevant registration with the NMC or HCPC
- Masters Level Degree or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Clinical Leadership and clinical care
- Involvement in managing change/projects.

You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
